Terms of Use
Last updated 6 November 2026
GitDoco is a free tool that runs in your browser. Use it responsibly, check what it produces, and remember that the services it connects to have their own terms.
1. Using GitDoco
By using GitDoco you agree to these terms. GitDoco is a free, client-side web application that reads GitHub repositories, issues, discussions and dependency information you choose, and packs them into files for AI assistants.
2. Other services and their terms
GitDoco connects your browser directly to GitHub and, in the Dependencies tool, to deps.dev. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and limits, including the GitHub Terms of Service. You are responsible for having the right to access the repositories you load and for any GitHub token you provide.
Anything you paste into an AI service is governed by that service's terms and privacy policy. GitDoco has no control over what other services do with the data they receive.
3. Your content and secrets
You are responsible for what you load, copy and share. Repository content is untrusted and can contain text written to steer an AI. GitDoco's secret hiding is a best-effort safeguard and cannot catch every secret: review the output before you share it, especially for private or sensitive repositories.
4. No legal, security or professional advice
License groups, compatibility notes, security advisories and token counts are provided for general information only. GitDoco does not give legal, security or professional advice. Check licenses, advisories and other results yourself, or with a qualified professional, before relying on them.
5. Data stored in your browser
GitDoco keeps your settings in your browser's local storage, as described in the Privacy notice. Clearing your browser data or using a private window removes them. GitDoco does not keep copies of anything you load.
6. Warranty disclaimer
GitDoco is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, GitDoco, its authors, and maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of or inability to use the software.
8. Code licensing
The source code of GitDoco is licensed separately under the open source MIT License. Terms governing code modification, distribution, and reuse are set out in the project's LICENSE file.
9. Changes
These terms may change as GitDoco changes. The date above shows the latest version. If a change matters for how your data is handled, the tools will ask you to accept again before they next connect to another service.
